We were getting a new roof put up, but first needed the solar panels brought down. The company we were working with kept putting us off so we couldn't coordinate a start date for the roofers. Then someone recommended Bri Electric. I contacted Brian and he told me he could have a crew here the following week. His office manager confirmed a date and time. The crew arrived on time, were respectful of the property and the solar panels and equipment. As soon as the new roof was complete, Brian's crew came back and put the solar panels back in place and showed me that everything was up and working. We had minimal down time with our solar generation. The crew was neat and clean in their work. Brian and his expert team were professional, patient, honest and caring. We were extremely pleased with all of their work, guidance and assistance from them and their office manager, Susan. They did some retrofitting of kitchen lighting and installed and put in new wiring for a built-in microwave. Brian also identified that our entire electrical system, which was in need of updating after 50 years, should be done. He was totally right and we are now in very good shape. We liked his work so much that we asked him to install a backup battery system for our already installed solar system. They did a great job and we are seeing much better results in our almost non-existent SDG&E bill. We are all electric, so it really made a difference. They cover Ramona (many companies won't). Brian, the owner, is strtaight forward, experienced and trustworthy. I did a whole house re-wire and a few extra projects. I decided to make a serious investment to my home by having a all home generator installed. After several months research I decided to move forward. I was very skeptical which company to use especially since I have not had good experiences with the electricians in my area - I live in the San Diego, CA area - not sure if it is just this area but I literally have cancelled before projects were even began in past due to reps not keeping their word and showing up not prepared or not showing up at all. A few I couldnt even get past the phone call treating you like you have no sense demanding whole home investments when you only need a project here and there. Anyway, so here I am now wanting something as huge as home generator where I need a good electrician. I contacted BriElectric and from the start it was a great experience. They returned my call immediately. Came out to my house the next day and gave me an update to what I needed and the pros/cons of what to expect. This was over 6months ago. I decided to wait since I was still skeptical if this is the route I wanted to go for my home. After about 3 months I reconsidered, I called them back and they again came right out ..Brian - the lead electrician and his office manager Susan were both brilliant to work with. I was especially appreciative the way Susan was so careful to ensure I understood exactly what the contract ment and went out of her way to protect "me" to be informed and ensure nothing got amiss. This was a breath of fresh air, since my last experiences with electric companies was anything but trying to prtoect me the customer. Brian and Javier were AWESOME. Brian even did extra work around my yard "just because"..fixing my loose fence post and replacing a broken garden socket - this involved hiring a plumber which he had come out same day and took care of everything. The generator installation was very involved..they had to dig several deep trenches to allow for the gas and power transfer lines to be adequately separated and kept safe,"to code". I was starting to get buyers remorse when I saw all they had to do..literally digging up some of my garden to get the lines in (note:..this was all agreed upon still got nervous watching your lawn getting dug up is still intimidating) ..But here is the GOOD NEWS - I can tell you by end of just one week, all plants, trees, mulch was replanted back - blooming as we speak and actually you can't tell anyone ever came. It looks BETTER now . They took extra care to clean up each day they were here. They worked clean, QUIET and was always attentive to any questions or concerns. They kept their schedule ALWAYS and were the best electric company I have ever done business with and Im 62 years old. This is not my first home. Not my first dealing with vendors and big work projects. They did the testing of my generator and after a few back and forth tests..all ran great..started up and turned on just as was expected during the tests. Now the one con: In all transparency the one issue I have is because we didnt have that much time to do more tests, I will REPOST after I see if this does what it is supposed to do when we have an actual electric outage in future. this is understood from get go, the one downside to these generators is you dont use them unless you have an outage. to be a thorough review I want to repost again once I live through an actual outage to see if my "investment" pays off!? BRI Electric did an EXCELLENT job and I recommend them highly. I will admit I didnt price them out with others like I would normally do with projects like this..but I did have an idea of what to expect. I can't guarantee they are the cheapest but I wanted the best work done with the best QUALITY over discount. I wanted someone I could TRUST and rely on and was so impressed the way they answered all my questions, promptly showed up, explained everything, texted me all the way through proactively..didnt let any one thing drop or get left "confusing". This is how you do customer service: I called Brian about an electrical issue in my kitchen, and within an hour, he sent one of his best guys to take care of it. Javier came prepared with new replacement equipment and was ready to work on the spot. Fast, congenial, and always offering suggestions, Javier took care of everything. Brian, Susan, and the whole crew at Bri Electric did a fantastic job on a very complex, ground mounted array with batteries that has allowed us to become energy independent. We chose Bri because it was a very unique installation that required their expertise both as a general contractor and an electrical contractor. We have a perfect south facing hill behind our home that is about 31 degrees in elevation, making it ideal to maximize solar output. However, the hill is granite, and it required drilling into the granite to mount the array according to the exacting standards of San Diego County's building department. Brian, his crew, and his civil engineers pulled it all off with relative ease given the challenges associated with ground mounting a 21 panel array on a steep granite hillside. Great job, Brian and Susan are wonderful to work with, and I can't recommend them highly enough. They are true professionals in every sense of the word.
